FAQ

Do I need a VPS?

No. Klinz runs on shared hosting (Hostinger, cPanel, …) thanks to the provided .htaccess and a database-backed queue. A VPS is recommended only for high volume / Redis.

Can I use it as a SaaS?

Yes. Workspaces are multi-tenant, limits are enforced per workspace and per user, and billing (Stripe/PayPal) is built in.

Is the API included?

Yes — a Sanctum REST API with scoped tokens, quotas and a usage log.

How do I update?

Replace the files, run php artisan migrate and rebuild assets. The admin server-settings panel also lets you edit .env safely.

Features

Email Verification — 6 Checks

1. Syntax — validates the address against the RFC email format.
2. MX Record — confirms the domain has a valid Mail Exchanger DNS record.
3. Disposable Domains — flags throwaway providers (mailinator, 10minutemail, tempmail, …).
4. Role-Based Addresses — detects generic inboxes (info@, admin@, support@, …) that hurt deliverability.
5. Catch-All Domain — detects domains that accept all recipients, a known deliverability risk.
6. SMTP Handshake — performs a real SMTP conversation and records the server response code.

Each contact receives a status — valid / risky / invalid / disposable / duplicate — and a computed quality score you can use to filter and export.

Workspaces & Contacts

• Multi-workspace per user, with quotas and roles (owner / member).
• Verified CSV/TXT import processed in the queue, with deduplication and automatic removal of invalid rows.

• Manual plan assignment by the admin (payment is recorded even for offline sales).
• Limits enforced per workspace and per user: workspaces, members, contacts/month, lists, segments and API calls. Administrators are exempt.

Administration

Instructions

Installation

1. Upload the project files to your domain root (or point the document root to /public).
2. Make storage/ and bootstrap/cache/ writable.
3. Open https://your-domain/setup in your browser.
4. The wizard tests the database connection, creates the .env file from the production-ready .env.install template, applies permissions and generates the app key.
5. Enter your MySQL credentials and create the administrator account. Migrations and roles are seeded automatically.
6. (Production) Start the queue worker: php artisan queue:work --tries=3.

Shared hosting: the root .htaccess redirects all traffic to /public with no extra setup (Hostinger, cPanel, DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed). On Nginx add try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$query_string; with root pointing to /public.
